Whether you're a seasoned collector or new to the world of action figures, this review will help you decide if this is the right addition to your shelf.

Unboxing and First Impressions

The packaging is sleek and collector-friendly, featuring a window that showcases the figure in all its glory. The box art is vibrant, with the iconic Mega Man X aesthetic front and center. Inside, the figure is securely held in place with clear plastic trays, and all accessories are neatly organized.

Upon first handling, the figure feels solid and well-built. The paint application is clean, with the iconic blue and white color scheme of the Force Armor faithfully reproduced. The metallic sheen on the armor parts adds a premium feel, and the sculpt captures the character's proportions perfectly, despite the compact 1/12 scale.

• Secure packaging with clear trays
• Clean paint application with metallic accents

Design and Sculpt

The MDLX X (Force Armor) stands approximately 6 inches tall, making it a perfect desk or shelf companion. The sculpt is highly detailed, with panel lines and mechanical details that pay homage to the source material. The helmet, chest armor, and shoulder pads are all distinct, and the iconic X logo is prominently displayed.

The Force Armor version features additional armor pieces that give the figure a more imposing silhouette. These pieces are well-integrated, and the overall design stays true to the character's appearance in the games. The paint job is exceptional, with subtle shading and weathering that add depth without being overdone.

• Compact 1/12 scale with high detail
• Force Armor-specific sculpt with extra armor pieces
• Excellent paint application with subtle weathering

Articulation and Posability

The figure boasts over 30 points of articulation, allowing for a wide range of dynamic poses. The joints are tight but smooth, and they hold poses well without loosening over time. The double-jointed elbows and knees provide excellent range, and the ball-jointed hips and shoulders allow for natural movement.

The included hands are interchangeable, allowing for various hand poses, including the iconic buster pose. The figure also comes with a stand that helps with aerial poses, though it's not necessary for most displays. Whether you want a neutral standing pose or an action-packed battle stance, this figure can do it all.

• 30+ points of articulation for dynamic posing
• Interchangeable hands for buster poses
• Includes display stand for aerial poses

Accessories and Extras

The MDLX X (Force Armor) comes with a generous set of accessories. Included are three sets of hands (fists, open palms, and buster hands), a buster effect part, and a display stand. The buster effect is a nice addition, allowing you to recreate the iconic charge shot.

While the accessory count is not overwhelming, it covers the essentials and adds to the playability of the figure. The lack of additional effect parts or alternate heads is a minor letdown, but the figure's quality more than makes up for it.

• Three sets of interchangeable hands
• Buster effect part for charge shot display
• Display stand included

Comparison with Other Mega Man X Figures

When compared to other Mega Man X figures on the market, the MDLX stands out for its balance of price and quality. It offers a more affordable alternative to higher-end imports while still delivering excellent sculpt and articulation. However, it may not have the same level of detail as larger scale figures, but its compact size makes it easier to display.

For collectors who prefer a smaller footprint, the MDLX X (Force Armor) is an excellent choice. It pairs well with other 1/12 scale figures, and its style is consistent with the MDLX line. If you're looking to expand your collection, this figure is a solid investment.
